Crock Pot Chicken Alfredo

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 jar alfredo sauce (reduced fat works fine)
1/2 alfredo jar white wine (can use chicken broth)
2 tablespoons parsley
small can sliced mushrooms (optional)
handful spinach (optional)
1/2 cup light or fat free sour cream (optional)

This is a make-it-how-you-like-it recipe: Pour a little alfredo sauce in the crockpot. Place chicken breasts on top, then sprinkle parsley, mushrooms, spinach (if desired). Add remaining sauce and then rinse the jar with the wine, adding to the pot. Cook all day on low. (The chicken will get really tender, and it may break apart.) Just before serving, add the sour cream to the sauce, stirring. You can add fresh parsley now, too, if you want. Cook some pasta, and serve the chicken and sauce over the pasta. Sprinkle with parmesan if desired.

  1. this looks really good - do you use the refrigerated a. sauce or in a jar?
